Welcome to DUBS (Dalhousie Unity in Business Society) — the student society dedicated to bridging the gap between Dalhousie commerce students and Halifax’s thriving small business community. Whether you’re new to campus or preparing for your next step, DUBS provides opportunities to connect, learn, and grow with local businesses that are shaping the city’s future.

DUBS (Dalhousie Unity in Business Society) is a student-led organization dedicated to bridging the gap between commerce students and Halifax’s thriving small business ecosystem. Our mission is to empower students to explore entrepreneurship, develop professional skills, and build lasting connections within the community.

Through a variety of initiatives, including networking nights, speaker panels, workshops, and hands-on projects with local businesses, we create opportunities for students to:

  • Learn directly from entrepreneurs

  • Gain practical, hands-on experience

  • Strengthen ties between Dalhousie and the local community

  • Access exclusive discounts and special offers from local businesses

  • Explore their own entrepreneurial potential
